Counselor-In-Training Program: ages 13+
  
     
 

Wide World of Indoor Sports is pleased to announce our Counselor-In-Training Program. Your child will embrace a leadership role while still having fun and being a part of the camp experience.

Our program is designed for participants to develop their communication skills, leadership style, group management skills and more through a hands-on experience working with children. Each CIT will serve as a role model to younger participants while greeting campers at check-in, assisting in lessons, facilitating activities, and escorting participants to various locations. The CIT position offers participants their first "work experience" and builds them a solid foundation where they can transition from camper to staff member. Please keep in mind, that any individual who is a CIT is still a camper, and our main goal is for all individuals to participate in all activities and have FUN.

 
     
 

Requirements:

  • Be 13 years of age as of June 1st, 2010
  • Enroll in a minimum of 3 weeks of summer camp (multi-sport or sport-specialty)
  • Parent Completion of Information Packet, due 1 week prior to camp week

Application Process:

  • Complete, sign and return CIT Application Form.
  • Submission of 2 Reference Forms. Teachers, coaches, mentors and employers are great choices for references; please do not use family members.
  • Placement decisions will be made based on application, interviews and reference forms. Space is limited and not everyone who applies will be accepted in the CIT program.

Benefits:

  • 25% off camp registration fee per week
  • Certificate of completion of CIT Program at the close of summer
